Prior to 28 weeks, there are fixed consultation and ultrasound fees. Care in labour and after delivery is fully covered by most private health insurance funds.
Antenatal care for public patients is covered by fixed consultation and ultrasound fees; our reception team would be happy to provide you with a fee schedule. All care in labour and immediately afterwards in the public hospital is covered by Medicare if you are eligible.
Our gynaecology consultation and service fees are based on AMA Schedule fees which are higher than the Medicare Benefits Schedule fees. There will always an out of pocket fee except for Medicare card holders under 16 or 65 and overs.
Our practice will only carry out a procedure that has been fully explained to you and that you fully understand the reasoning behind.
Ultrasound scan fees are covered by a separate fee schedule – please ask the reception team for further information.
For surgical procedures, there will be no gap with most private health funds (although there may be an excess depending on your policy). All care in the public hospital is covered by Medicare if you are eligible.
Consultation and ultrasound service fees must be settled by the end of the scheduled appointment. We are a cashless business and you will be required to use a debit or credit card.
