Do I need a referral?
In ordIn order to receive a Medicare rebate, you need to be referred by your general practitioner or another specialist. A GP’s referral is valid for 12 months whilst a referral from another specialist is valid for 3 months. If you are pregnant and would like full obstetric care, please email to ensure that Dr Liddiard is able to provide this for you before you ask your GP to refer you. Once we have received the referral, we will contact you to arrange an appointment and send you an information pack. Once we have received your patient information sheet, one of the Vestrum team will call you to arrange an appointment.
Do you bulk bill?
We are able to offer full concessions to under 16s and 65 and overs, but for all other women, there will be an out of pocket fee or “gap”. This gap is reduced for health care card or pension card holders. For our ultrasound services, only the dating scan and amniocenteses are bulk billed.
What should I bring with me to my appointment?
Please bring your Medicare card and a debit/credit card as full payment is due on the day of your appointment.
You will need to bring a urine sample to all antenatal checks. If you are having a procedure, it is wise to bring someone with you.
Are you able to do 3D scans?
All our ultrasound scans are medically indicated. 3D imaging depends upon how co-operative your baby is. As your baby grows, 3D scanning becomes more challenging. You will be offered a complimentary USB flash drive containing souvenir images to share with family and friends.
Are you able to offer Vaginal Birth After Caesarean Section?
Yes. However, not all women are able to try to achieve a vaginal birth after Caesarean section and therefore care needs to be individualised.
Are you able to offer keyhole (laparoscopic) hysterectomies?
Yes but this is not possible for everybody and will therefore be fully discussed with you at your consultation.
